[Tear had heard someone else enter the shop – what she hadn't expected was to hear Jade's voice of all people as she turns quickly to face him, clutching a random carnation.]

Colonel? How – does anyone else know you're here?

[He shrugs while taking careful note of her wings.]

Only those whom I've allowed to be known of my presence. I must admit, this is quite the confusing situation. [But he'll still treat it so nonchalantly.]

It can be trusted that I've been doing very little besides such an activity. After all, I have to do what I can while I still have the advantage of not being saddled which such troublesome-seeming wings. [He strokes his chin in thought.] But I won't have long here, now will I?

No, I don't think you will. [Though that definitely answers the question over whether he had been just another visitor, it wouldn't have surprised her if he had taken to hiding wings beneath his clothing.]

Little over a year, according to our time. [She glances down at the flower still in her hands, twisting the stem between her fingers thoughtfully.]

Mm. I have noticed the bizarre calender employed here. [Briefly in a lighter tone.] I should hope this does not lead any of you to forget my birthday.

If you mean of here, than I'm sorry to say I do not recall being here before, despite already being informed that I apparently have. Most unnerving, you see. As of home... I recall everything that transpired in Eldrant, quite clearly. [He leaves her to make her conclusions from there.]

I'm certain Anise will make a point to remind us when the time comes. [She offers a small smile, already picturing the event if Anise were in charge. But the mention of Eldrant makes her pause; it would be some comfort to have a companion who remembered as far as she did, even if she was a single night away from experiencing it herself.]

Even if you don't recall being here before, I'm sure you'll uncover all there is to be known about those stays in no time, and unearthing what we know about being in the enclosure.

I would be sorely disappointed if she neglected to do so. How would I find a replacement for the head of my fan club?

Now, now. Don't sell yourself short, Tear. But it is true that you lack her perkiness. Clearly such energy is required to keep with my fast-paced lifestyle.

Mm. So if I do come back the proper way, does that mean it will be with no recollection of this unfortunate glitch?

So it seems, it feels as though this has happened before, and every year there is an instance where the population as a whole is unable to recall what happened for several days.

I'm only stating my own observations. [He says with an indifferent shrug.] If you think this can be proven wrong, you're free to audition and contest that.

[But he waves that off with a crooked grin.]

Ah, so that is the case. You cannot remember other such days and connect it to those other lost weekends. Well. If is true that neither of us will remember this, then you should be glad to have such a rare opportunity.

I'll think about it. [She offers a shrug of her own, continuing on with addressing his observation.]

And I suppose I should, though when the day comes that I return to Auldrant I may not have any recollection of this place either.

I can see the irony. Here we are, trapped in a world that's not bound to the Score in any way, shape or form that we know of, yet this entire existence is ultimately irrelevant to Auldrant, where undoing its chain is still a battle for us.

But surely you can take up the unique opportunity allowed by our current circumstances. [He smiles.] While I'm here, you can tell me anything you want - anything at all, not matter how cruel - and neither of us will have the benefit of remembering it within a few days.
