♪ eleventh hymn. [Action/Voice]

[The journal had laid open in her lap for quite a while as Tear tried to put her thoughts together, as she had for the past several days when she tried to figure out the best way to go about this. It was only just now that he decided to go through with it, rather than attempting to orchestrate a formal apology; it wouldn't seem genuine if she did that, even if it was in her habit to try to be as professional as possible. Taking several slow breaths she begins, steeling herself for whatever may come her way after she finishes.]

I know it’s delayed, and I have no excuse for it, but… [Even now, she still finds herself very confused when wandering about the village sometimes, even feeling anxious once in a while, but perhaps it was to be expected; she was gone from everyone for three months, after all. Regardless of what her frame of mind was, it was no excuse to delay reaching out to those who helped her in that time.]

… to those who assisted me in the past month, and in the time before I was taken shortly after several of us were drafted to the fight the Third Party in the jungle... All of you – thank you, and I apologize for burdening you all. If ever you should need my help, please… don’t hesitate to ask me.

[With that out of the way, she moves on to the next thing on her agenda. It was something that had been on her mind for a while, and with her own recent experiences her conviction to go through with it has only grown stronger.]

Have there ever been any attempts to conduct a census of the residents of the village? While it may serve no other purpose than to keep record of who is here, perhaps it can be of other benefits in the future.

[After conversing with respondents over the topic, Tear will be spending the day walking throughout the plaza, milling around in an attempt to help re-establish a sense of normalcy and for need of something to do. Toward the afternoon she can be found in the library, a place she finds herself to always frequent regardless of what state of mind she is in.]

[She hadn’t expected to hear from him so soon, as evidenced by her body freezing in position, blue eyes wide with the same uncertainties dwelling within the only other one who truly shares her blood. Several long minutes of silence pass as her mind begins to reel back from the initial shock.]

[While wandering the plaza, Tear is likely to bump into this little thing if she's too preoccupied in her thoughts. He's munching on a bag of potato chips from the grocery store while on his way to hang out by the river.]

[Perhaps it was her soldier instincts that make her look down as she walks about the plaza, or maybe it was her soft spot for all things cute that prevented her from knocking him over completely. Whatever it was, Tear notices the poor little thing as she regains her balance, eyes full of concern as she bends down on her knees to check on him.]

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to… [He’s so small!] Are you hurt?

[Pommy shakes his head as he gets to his feet.]

N-no, Pommy's fine! [Although...] But...Pommy dropped all the chips!

[Indeed, most of the bag of chips is spilled out onto the ground. There's probably only a few little crumbs left inside.]

[She recognizes that voice as well, though just barely. He was one of the two she had fought alongside with on that last day, wasn’t he?]

I’m glad you’re all right… Though we have never had a chance to speak with each other properly, have we?

Well, it is difficult to properly speak with one another on the battlefield.

[Is that- oh it's totally Tear. She's walking around the plaza and she looks aimless. That's perfect. So-]

[Looking up at the sound of Haruhi's voice, she sends the younger a small smile. It had been a while since they had spoken, hadn't it?]

What is it, Haruhi?

[Younger? Guuurl, I'm twenty years old over here. just in a seventeenish year old body due to timelines But she points at her face]

I saw you looking aimless, so in my benevolence I thought I'd make sure you weren't bored.

[ohai Tear. Someone else will be spending the latter part of the day in the library, though he doesn't seem too interested in any of the books there.]

[Nope, instead he's going to be sitting at a desk with a book down on the table in front of him... and sleeping. At least, it looks like that's what's he's doing. He's still holding onto the book, but his eyes are closed and he seems to be leaning forward... If Tear watches long enough, eventually he'll face-plant into the book and surprise himself awake.]

[Oh, and he still has the cat ears and tail from his mallynap effect. And yes, he's still turning into a kitten whenever someone says his name. Sob.]

[At least Tear isn't in the habit of calling Ion by name, even after having believed him to be her younger brother at least twice now. Realizing his situation when she looks toward him, she quietly makes her way over and places a hand on his head gently after he faceplants, smiling softly.]

[This is the first time Anise had gone to the library. She's busy looking up recipes, oooing and awwing over all the different foods she found. Being in Luceti had opened up a whole lot of possibilities for her. Before, she never had the money or the time to try her hand at many different dishes. But now, she could take whatever she liked from the shops.]

[Her hunt for the best carrot cake recipe is interrupted by the sight of a familiar head of brown hair. Anise puts the book down and waves to Tear.]

Hey, Tear! [She calls in a voice a bit louder than was appropriate for a library.]

[The unexpected call makes her freeze, whipping around with a slightly exasperated sigh. Honestly Anise, people expect quiet while in the library. Placing the book he had been reviewing on a nearby table Tear places a finger to her lips, motioning for silence as she makes her way over to the younger girl.]

[Her eyes widen in surprise, but a smile replaces the otherwise serious expression on her face when she sees Kouki through the camera display. She was genuinely happy to hear from him so soon already.]

I'm glad... How have you been, Kouki?

[If she made that apologetic announcement at home? Nephry is coming to talk to her before she leaves.]

[Tear had just been closing her journal so she could get ready to go meet Van in the plaza, setting it aside on her bed when she hears Nephry call her name. She hadn't had a chance to talk to her her properly yet, which gave her a soft sense of shame.]
