seleniahymn: (I concur my good sir.)
[It's been some days since Anise left, and for the most part Tear has been taking it in stride. She did feel sadness, especially knowing what the younger girl would be returning to back in Auldrant, but it isn't as heavy as she thought it would be. Perhaps it was because the last time Anise had left the enclosure, it had been within days of Natalia's departure and she had been so new to Luceti herself, so the weight of not having two of her closest friends had been that much more palpable.

But she knows better than to dwell too much on it now, surely the fon master guardian would be pouting at her like she so often did when she deemed her as being too gloomy. So she's going to try her hand more at something she knew she would have liked.]

If there's anyone who knows how to make chiffon cake, or is willing to help me make some... I'd greatly appreciate it.

[Her friend might not be here to appreciate it herself, but she could at least try to make it for the benefit of her friends who did remain.]

Or any form of baking really, even if it's just helping to taste it. Maybe later today or at another time.

[Call it a whim.]

[In the meantime she'll be making her way through the shops like she usually does, but she's drawing more attention to anything seemingly cute today, without even trying to hide it. And since Colonel decided to accompany her for a time this afternoon, some might overhear her occasionally asking him of particular items she finds even though it's more musing to herself rather than truly seeking his opinion.]
seleniahymn: (I do carry maps behind my ear.)
[With the way Tear goes about her day you wouldn't think today was of any importance, and in her opinion there really wasn't as she starts out first with walking Arthur early in the morning. Today seemed as good a day as any to have him wander further than within sight of their home, though being so young he tires soon enough that she sometimes carries him.

Afterward she chooses to venture the clothing shops on her own, but the look on her face when she comes across a particular outfit says quite a bit. Not only was she not expecting to find it here, but there's the blush before she tries to hide it away should say she's not displeased with the find either.

Please don't let anyone have seen.

After that she'll come to rest at the plaza, her face just thoughtful as she sat down to ask something of the village. With all she had experienced both here and at home, it was difficult not to think about especially today, when she would only be three years away from adulthood in Auldrant.]

What duties are expected in order to be considered an 'adult?' Or are the set ages of every society simply accepted as an age where one is considered so?

I realize this may have been asked before, but I was curious to hear from others.
seleniahymn: (Avrò aspettalo.)
[Hours later, and the sinking feeling she had experienced had still not faded away after initially noticing her belongings were gone; it had all been confirmed when she had entered Natalia's room only to be met with a cold emptiness that had been experienced elsewhere in the household, not even a week before. The hours have passed, and Tear had hardly left the barren room during them until it occurs to her that the rest of the populace to would need to know of yet another another departure. Though her heart felt heavy, she addresses the journals with the same neutral expression that had become a near constant on her face for the last month.]

Natalia has once again returned to Auldrant. To those who knew her here... I ask that you keep her in your memories, as she truly cared for you all.

[That much she knew for certain; Natalia had never ceased to worry for the well-being of Lucetians.]

[Though now that it was done, she didn't want to be in the empty room any longer, even as responses came. Though Tear manages to walk away from the house at a normal pace, there is nevertheless an urgent aura about her as she begins what will inevitably become an aimless walk throughout the village, slipping between being a part of it and moving into the forest surrounding it, searching for anything that could require her assistance. Even as she does, there was no certainty of if she wanted company or to hear condolences now, but silence and being left alone didn't seem like a better option as the wandering continues throughout the day.

But as she always does, she will be resting at the sanctuary of the cherry tree by the end of the day.]

(( ooc; House One mates are welcome to action at any point before and after the post, whichever would be preferred. ))
seleniahymn: (So that's how it is.)
[Yet another experiment come and gone, and whether it was a terrible one altogether was yet to be decided. It had certainly started terribly, but some of the things she witnessed later on seemed to nullify that initial annoyance. Yet the way it had ended toward the tail end left her once again pondering one particular question which she had long been wanting to ask of several people. But why not ask everyone instead? The more insight, the better.]

'We all go home one day.' That is knowledge that we are all told and all witness, and for that reason there are some of us who abjectly refuse to establish our mark in the village.

Why is that? Is it really so wrong to make the best of the time we have here? I understand why some would hesitate, but if there was nothing barring you from doing so, would you still attempt to make a sort of difference? The way we live here can be seen as no different from our own homes, thinking about it. We simply live.

[After receiving and answering to responses, Tear will be making her way through the village almost aimlessly, visiting friends and reading books from the library as usual. But as always, afternoons would be spent walking alongside the river until she would eventually reach the cherry tree toward the north of the village before eventually retiring to her home.]
seleniahymn: (Flowers of the Qliphoth)
[Tear was sitting on a bench, attempting to write her letter to Rise when the snow began to fall softly from the sky, prompting her to look up and observe its fall down toward the village. She can't refrain from smiling a little, though the snow also serves as a reminder that makes her expression turn wistful.

Though it takes a long while before she actually does it, Tear reaches toward her journal and opens it, pausing for several moments before finally addressing the other villagers.]

I know it might be too early to think about this, but does anyone plan to organize a flower viewing? I know we had such an event last year involving the cherry tree, though I'm not aware of any other similar gatherings we celebrate here.

... I think it'd be nice to do something like that again.

[That isn't the only thing occupying her mind, though. Quietly she begins to build a filter for her next message, not wanting too many people asking questions.]

[Filtered to Freyjadour - 50%]

Freyjadour… Could we arrange a meeting? Preferably today. [She doesn't even know why she was overwhelmed with the sudden desire to see him, though she could certainly understand why.]
